Settings Guide

Learn every Settings screen: General, Transaction, Party, Item, Print, and Taxes & GST.

How Settings Work

  • Settings are saved company-wise, so each company can have different rules.
  • After changing settings, click Save Settings to apply them.
  • Some settings update the UI immediately; some billing rules apply after refresh or next API load.
  • Store filter controls store-wise data, but most settings are company-wide.

General

  • Controls currency, date format, financial year, decimal places, rounding, sound, multi-branch, and cloud sync options.
  • Use this screen first because these values affect invoices, reports, and display formatting.

Transaction

  • Controls invoice prefix, quotation prefix, purchase prefix, receipt prefix, credit days, credit sales, customer mobile rules, profit margin visibility, and sale-below-cost prevention.
  • Use this screen to define billing behavior before creating sales or purchase documents.

Transaction Message

  • Controls WhatsApp/SMS alerts and message templates for invoices, quotations, payments, and due reminders.
  • Use this when customer communication needs standard wording.

Party

  • Controls credit limit, party balance visibility, party-wise item rate, shipping address, GSTIN/PAN fields, loyalty program, and route/area tracking.
  • Use this for customer/vendor management and credit workflows.

Item

  • Controls item catalog visibility, product/service mode, barcode, stock tracking, low stock alerts, units, categories, custom pricing, description, item tax, and item discount.
  • Tracking & Vertical Fields control batch, expiry, serial/IMEI, variants, jewellery, BOM, wholesale, rack location, secondary units, and CESS fields.
  • When a checkbox is ON, the related field appears in Add/Edit Item or billing. When OFF, the field is hidden or the rule is disabled.

Print

  • Controls print paper size, invoice title, quotation title, logo, bank QR, terms, and signatory display.
  • Use this before printing invoices or quotations for customers.

Taxes & GST

  • Controls GST enablement, default tax rate, place of supply, GST Rule 46 validation, reverse charge, TCS/TDS, and CESS.
  • Use this to keep invoices GST-compliant and reduce billing mistakes.
